Bio
Monica Holder is an accomplished artist, using multiple forms as an outlet for her creativity. While photography has long been her first interest, she has spent 17 years as a hairstylist and make-up artist.
A New Jersey native, she perfected her hair and make-up skills on commercial shoots in New York and Los Angeles. After retiring from commercial work, Monica opened and operated a successful hair salon in North Carolina and began formally studying photography.
What started as a way to get her work photographed and submitted to hair publications, developed into a passion. After completing several courses and doing some freelance photography assignments, she closed the hair salon and relocated to Atlanta, GA to dedicate herself to photography full-time.
Monica brings a strong aesthetic sense and the ability to translate complex and embryonic ideas into eye-catching images to her clientele. She has a developed eye for beauty and the ability to ‘create a look’ making her an ideal photographer.
In addition to her freelance photography assignments, Monica also teaches digital photography at The Showcase School of Photography in Atlanta, GA. |
